HEALTH

Customers that schedule every 4,6 or 8 weeks receive a consistent rate.
Those who stretch their visits out, normally receive a little bit of a higher rate.
Having your pet come to us on a regular basis, not only makes our job
easier, but also allows your dog/cat to get used to Val or I and the
environment. It helps to cut down on anxiety, allowing the animal the
opportunity to put trust into us.  Some dogs never fully get rid of their anxiety
issues, but Val and I try our best to relieve as much tension as possible.

Regular grooming for your pet is very important for its health.  Coming in on
a regular basis, keeps them from matting, getting dry skin, long nails and
over shedding.  Because their skin is very sensitive, animals do not need
daily or even weekly bathing, however they do need baths more often than
you think. We examine the ears and body, and note if there are any new
growths, moles or anything you should consult your vet about. I myself
found a suspicious growth on one of my regular Golden Retrievers.  It was
on her butt, hidden by the skirt. The owners probably would never have seen
it.  Luckily she took Molly to the vet a few days later and determined it was
cancer.  They removed the growth just in time.  Cancer spreads rapidly in
dogs.  It has been  over a year now , Molly and mom are doing great.

As groomers we play a very important role in the health and well being of
your pet.  Val and I take a lot of pride in that.
